MS1826B One-Input Four-Output Video Processor

The MacroSilicon MS1826B is a multi-function video processor for one HD input and four independent HD outputs, with one configurable I2S / SPDIF digital-audio interface. It supports four independent OSD windows with user-defined font libraries and can split, scale, enhance, and output one input video stream across multiple displays.

Video Processing

  • Supports VESA and CEA-861-F video formats, plus RGB / BT.601 / BT.709 colorimetry.
  • Automatic input video timing and InfoFrame detection, input auto EQ, and programmable EDID.
  • Programmable input HPD and automatic output HPD detection.
  • Interlaced-to-progressive conversion, edge-correction deinterlacing, global noise reduction, and 3:2 / 2:2 pull-down detection.
  • Dynamic peaking and brightness, saturation, contrast, and hue adjustment.
  • Four independent video scalers with independent horizontal and vertical scaling and flexible frame-rate conversion.
  • Up to eight input video layers for mixer output with alpha blending and Color Key.
  • One fixed-angle rotation path supporting 90°, 180°, and 270°.
  • Video compression and frame buffering, input cropping, and horizontal/vertical video flip.

Design Notes

  • MS1826B is suited to single-input / multi-output distribution systems. For multi-input aggregation, evaluate MS1826A; for full 4-in / 4-out systems, evaluate MS1826.
  • Multiple outputs, scaling, rotation, blending, and frame buffering all consume DDR and internal processing bandwidth. Validate against the target resolution and layout.
  • HD high-speed interfaces, DDR, power rails, HPD/EDID behavior, and OSD configuration should be confirmed with authorized reference designs and project validation.
