MS9331C HD Signal Re-timer IC
The MacroSilicon MS9331C is an HD signal re-timer IC with a maximum signal rate of 3 Gbps, supporting I2S and SPDIF audio output. At 3 Gbps, it supports HD input resolutions up to 4K x 2K @ 30 Hz and 4K x 2K (YCbCr420) @ 60 Hz, with 10/12/16-bit color depth.
The HD input includes clock and data recovery (CDR) with adaptive EQ to accommodate cables of different lengths and quality, helping maintain TMDS performance at high rates. The HD output provides signal pre-emphasis for longer cable runs. The chip integrates internal EDID RAM and requires no external crystal.
