MS2130 USB 3.0 HD Audio/Video Capture IC

The MacroSilicon MS2130 is a USB 3.0 HD video and audio capture IC. It integrates a USB 3.0 Device controller, data transceiver, and audio/video processing blocks, allowing HD input audio/video to be previewed or captured on PCs, smartphones, and tablets over USB 3.0.

MS2130 supports UVC 1.0 video, UAC 1.0 audio, USB 2.0 Device compatibility, YUV422 / MJPEG output, and a compact QFN-64 package. It is intended for entry-level driverless USB capture cards and embedded audio/video capture modules.

Design Notes

  • The public page specifies a maximum input of 3840 × 2160 @ 30Hz, while the default maximum USB video output is 1920 × 1080 @ 60Hz; these are different bandwidth levels.
  • MS2130 lists only YUV422 and MJPEG USB output. Compare MS2130S / MS2131S if RGB24, NV12, higher USB output capability, or richer audio interfaces are required.
  • UVC/UAC compatibility on Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows should be validated with the target host, application, and capture format.
  • Production designs should be based on the authorized MacroSilicon SDK, firmware, reference design, and board-level validation.
