MS2109S USB 2.0 HD Audio/Video Capture and Mixing Processor

The MacroSilicon MS2109S is a USB 2.0 HD audio/video capture and mixing processor. It integrates a USB 2.0 Device controller, data transceiver, HD RX block, and audio/video processing blocks, allowing HD input audio/video to be previewed or captured on PCs, smartphones, and tablets over USB.

MS2109S supports UVC 1.0 video, UAC 1.0 audio, YUV422 / MJPEG USB output, two I2S inputs, I2S/SPDIF output, and digital audio mixing. It is suitable for USB2.0 driverless capture cards, low-latency capture devices, and capture modules with external digital-audio interfaces.

Design Notes

  • MS2109S supports 4K input, but the default maximum USB video output is 1920 × 1080 @ 60Hz; distinguish input capability from USB output capability during system design.
  • Low-latency behavior depends on equal input/output frame rates and the actual firmware, host, and application configuration.
  • USB2.0 bandwidth is limited; MJPEG/YUV422 output modes, resolution, and frame-rate combinations should be validated with the target host.
  • Designs using HDCP 1.4 should confirm licensing, key handling, and content-protection compliance.
